The Little Abode
“Tom and Sara’s garden room exceeded expectation. We loved the location in a separate pretty annexe down the garden as it felt very private; it is spacious, comfortable and so tastefully presented. The garden itself is absolutely stunning- National Trust standard! We were offered a choice of breakfast options and we chose fruit, yogurt and muesli, artistically presented in jars, together with croissants, freshly squeezed juice and coffee - delicious!!! The Space
The Little Abode garden room is set within a detached cottage across the courtyard from the main house and at the sunny south end, with french doors that open out onto the gardens. The bedroom has a king-size bed and ensuite bathroom (bath with shower head for rinsing hair) , a dining table and a chest of drawers, along with kettle and a selection of Taylors Tea and Coffee to choose from. All linen and towels are provided, alongside L'Occitane complimentary toiletries.
There is a garden patio immediately outside the french doors for your use with an outdoor table and chairs to enjoy the sunshine (or the stars by candlelight). We also provide a BBQ and Firepit (with all wood and lighters) for your use.
We are happy to accept bookings from families with one child as we can easily set a camp bed up in the room alongside the King bed. Please let us know at the time of booking if this is needed (additional cost of £25).
There is WiFi available in the room and limited 3G mobile reception.
The Cost
The cost is £125 per night (includes breakfast delivered to your room each morning).
Additional cost of £25 should you require a camp bed to be set up.
Guest Access
On arrival you can park your vehicle within the private courtyard and gain access to the bedroom via french doors, set within our topiary garden. On arrival we will meet you to show you to your room and once the keys have been exchanged, guests will enjoy complete independence and privacy from the main house for the duration of their stay.
We very much hope that you have time to enjoy the gardens and orchard during your stay.

We are sadly unable to offer suppers at the moment (owing to Covid-19) but do have a look at our Eating With Us page as we have a lovely Ooni pizza oven that we would be delighted to fire up for a takeaway pizza!!
We are a household with dogs and whilst we understand not everyone shares our love of daschunds and labradors, Otter, Bertie & Max may be keen to say hello if they bump into you!
